PERL – OUR STORY
Suresh and Dev (Patel brothers) are both passionate NZ trained and registered electricians. They both came to New Zealand in 2018 from Gujarat, India and together started studying at AUT completing Engineering studies in 2020 (level-6), (electrical and electronic engineering) before going to complete their electrical apprenticeships in 2021.
Dev is a specialist commercial electrician having worked on a number of commercial sites such as Countdown Distribution Centre (Palmerston North), Countdown (Wiata Shores), Buscomb Avenue (Henderson), Abstract Hotel (Upper Queens Street).
Suresh started his electrical career as an electrical apprentice. He subsequently worked with J&J Electrical Engineering, where he worked on over 100 residential new builds in the Auckland suburb of Flatbush. He has also worked for Housing New Zealand for 2 years as an electrical contractor on refurbishments, repairs and maintenance.
When not working the boys can be found exploring NZs walking tracks or playing snooker. Like most Indians they are passionate cricket fans and can often be found playing back yard cricket between innings while watching cricket on the TV.
Wanting to take the reins of their own destiny, Dev and Suresh inquired about a PERL Electrical Franchise after seeing adverts and following a rigorous assessment from both them and PERL Group signed up to a franchise. And thus PERL Electrical Auckland Central was born.
Their experience includes all aspects of electrical work from fault finding, managing big, structured data cabling projects, new builds, bespoke villa renovations, large commercial projects including high rise apartments, commercial shop and office fitouts to HVAC, switchboards and ventilation to name a few. There’s nothing Dev and Suresh hasn’t wired, fixed or maintained throughout their electrician careers.
